Vintage Murano Glass Fratelli Toso Bowl Cranberry Pink /White Swirl /Gold Specks. Fratelli Toso & Co., Murano, Italy, Zanfirico & Aventurine Glass Bowl. Zanfirico or ‘Vetro a Retorti’ bowl from the Venetian glass manufacturer. Decorated using the Zanfirico technique. The pattern includes pink ‘lattice filigree’ with copper aventurine gracing the edges. It is very difficult to photograph the gold in the bowl, but it is beautiful in person. Island of Murano, Italy, c1870-90. Excellent collectible condition, no chips or cracks. Tiny air bubbles, Pontil (break from blow pipe). A minor manufacturing flaw. A small raised portion of extra glass around the foot/base. No chips, cracks or scratches. Measures 6" x 6" x 1 7/8". Weight 10 oz.
