This is a vintage beautiful green glass owl ashtray created by Viking Glass Company. The green appears to be transparent avocado green glass. Owls represent wisdom, knowledge, change, transformation, intuitive development, and trusting the mystery. The Viking Glass Company originally was named the New Martinsville Glass Company in 1901 in New Martinsville, West Virginia, and was renamed the Viking Glass Company in 1841. The new owners anticipated that new tastes in glass products would favor bright colors and bold designs typified in the Scandinavian glass. This retro piece would also make a great trinket dish on an end table, nightstand, or counter. It is in excellent vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. The vintage owl measures approximately 8.5 x 5 x 1.5 inches. This is a must for any lover of owls. As for all vintage figures come with wear due to age over time.
