Vintage Alaskan Inuit Hand Coiled Basket w/Lid

Vintage Alaskan Coil Basket. Hand Coiled and Dyed. Has handles and lid. This is the perfect storage basket. It is a great medium size that will look great on the floor or a table. Has sections of dyed colors in red, brown, and green. I'm sure the design of the colored portion has a meaning or purpose but unfortunately I do not have that information. There are two handles that make it easy to move around. The lid sort of locks into place, which is nice and it also has a smoke stack style top. Approx. 12" tall and 10" wide. Excellent Vintage Condition. Wear is consistent with age. It sits a bit wonky. That is how it was made, the coils on very bottom are a bit staggered so it sits lower on one side. This does not affect the function or appearance. This iis a beautiful example of Native Alaskan Folk Art.
