Dready originated in the late 1970s and early 1980s, created by Birmingham-based Rastafarian artist Robert Sidlauskas. Sidlauskas developed the Dready character, inspired by reggae culture, punk rock, and the socio-political environment of the time. The brand gained popularity throughout the 1980s and 1990s, becoming known for its distinctive streetwear featuring the iconic character and related artwork. This T-Shirt is rare and an original Dready Editions from 1992 being impossible to find, especially in this condition. Features iconic Dready character with bold, vibrant reggae-inspired colors and oversized front graphic. Has front, back and sleeve prints and original tag. One of the earliest Dready graphics (see close-up), from when the brand was at its peak in underground UK skate and streetwear culture. Condition: • Great vintage condition for its age • Minor wear and fade consistent with vintage, adds to aesthetic • Some cracking to the graphic (beautifully aged see photos) • Small mark on lower front (see last pic), nothing major, does not affect wearability Size XL 90s boxy cut, single stitch sleeves.
