I have here a lovely long faceted black French Jet glass necklace. These were very common in the Victorian era. Queen Victoria wore black as a part of mourning her beloved Prince Albert in 1861. This created a desire for mourning jewelry in Britain and America. This lovely black jet glass necklace measures a tad under 36" long. The beads are 8mm. French Jet Glass Flapper Necklace such as this became popular in the 1920's.
The necklace and clasp are in good condition. It has a silver tone spring clasp. Please view all my pictures as they are considered a part of my description.
