Stunning 1.01 Cushion Cut Tsavorite

What is THAT??? was my first reaction to seeing my first Tsavorite. It looked just like an Emerald, but without any of the typical inclusions or cloudiness, and with what seemed like at least 10X the luster. And it was true love. At first sight. Tsavorite is actually the rarest and most expensive type of grossular Garnet, with its vibrant grass green color coming from trace elements of Chromium and Vanadium. It is rarely treated or heated in any way, because it doesn't need enhancements!

This stone is just over a carat, it boasts a VVS clarity and vivid green color with no heat, no treatment and no enhancement, and measures 6 X 5.5 X 3.2 mm. It is a fine VVS cushion cut and has a sparkling luster.

I have another Tsavorite that I bought to match this one, to make a ring. While they are almost the same exact carat weight and cut and quality, they are not quite exactly the same shape or size. They could go well together as earrings, but are gorgeous and stand on their own.
