BCE hardcover set of Shōgun in two volumes by James Clavell (Delacorte Press, 1975). Gutter code of “S26” on volume one, gutter code on volume two appears to have been cut off or not printed for some reason. Vintage two volume set of this beloved historical fiction novel, the first in his Asian Saga series and the basis for the FX series, Shogun. Jackets now protected in new archival sleeves but with rubbing/scuffing to faces, some creasing and shelf wear around the edges - including chipping and small tears. Boards mildly soiled from handling and with corners bumped. Spines a bit cocked and binding is beginning to loosen, though hinges remain secure and all pages are attached. Previous owner’s name on front endpaper of Vol. 1, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
