This is a square shaped, expandable/telescoping mechanical pencil and ruler combination. Made in Germany in the 1890's to 1920 's. Working condition. Silverplate. External Tarnish present. Stamped Germany. 5 inches long, 11 inches when open......10 inch ruler as the tip is not part of the ruler. One side in inches the opposite side in centimeters. Overall good condition; working condition. Some tarnish, some wear from use, some wear to the plating. The 2nd and 3rd levels are very shiny and bright as they have been housed internally for the past 100 years in comparison to the over all visible exterior.
