This is a small heavy piece of solid Iron. Would have been used to seal envelopes or stamp wax as a signature on official documents.
It's a little worn down but in good condition. The figure is a Tian Beast who was a dog like figure, but he looks just like the Grinch to me! There is a hole through the side where it would have been worn on a leather string around the bearer's neck.
