10k SOLID GOLD AS MARKED AND TESTED.
Antique American Optical Co. spectacles from the late 1800's.
Wire rim glasses marked "A O CO" and also has the 10k gold mark of a circle with a line through it or pill shape. The case is wrapped metal. The case states "HT WITTLIG Optometrist 208 Front St. Marietta O"
Along with these having the gold mark I also tested them as seen in 5th picture.
They are 4 1/4" across the front. The bridge is approximately 3/4". They are 4 1/4" long but of course the backs can stretch a little.
Condition: The glasses are wearable with no chips or scratches on glass! The case has wear as seen in pictures.
The glasses themselves, with lenses, weigh 10g.
